5 day (40 hours)
This course is an Instructor level course and will focus on instructor development as it relates to the patrol rifle. Students will be exposed to various teaching methods to assist in effective communication from the instructor to their students. Students must pass an exit qualification in order to receive an instructor certification. This course satisfies TCOLE requirements for course #3323.
Pre-requisites:
Active Law Enforcement or Military
Must be a State/Agency certified Basic Instructor AND Firearms Instructor or equivalent (information will be vetted)
Must have taken a basic patrol rifle course
Course Requirements:
Attend all 40 hours
Pass Exit Qualification
Student Materials:
Serviceable AR platform rifle with sling
3 rifles magazines (minimum)
Method to carry rifle magazines (duty belt or plate carrier with magazine pouches)
Serviceable pistol with holster
2 pistol magazines (minimum)
Duty belt
Pen and paper for note-taking (laptop optional)
1000 Rounds of rifle ammunition (no steel case)
100 rounds of pistol ammunition (no steel case)
