This course will concentrate on the establishment of hostage rescue principles, particularly tailored for patrol officers. It will equip them with the necessary tools to ensure their success in such situations.

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the significance of decision-making in hostage rescue operations. They will learn how to swiftly move to known and unknown crisis sites and effectively resolve the problem within the room by establishing points of domination with 2-4 officers. Furthermore, they will be challenged to maintain a high level of marksmanship, comprehend the roles and responsibilities of each individual present in the room, and demonstrate their ability to utilize their knowledge to guide other responders.
